Rockies win sixth straight but Cook hurt

DENVER (AP)—Troy Tulowitzki(notes) homered twice and the Colorado Rockies beat thestruggling Cincinnati Reds 9-2 on Wednesday night, earning their sixthconsecutive victory despite losing starter Aaron Cook(notes) to a leg injury.

Cook was struck in the lower right leg by a line drive off the bat of JoeyVotto(notes) in the sixth inning. The right-hander hobbled around the mound for a fewminutes, before gingerly walking off the field and into the dugout. The teamreported the injury as a bruise and said he left the park to get X-rays.
Cook (6-8) was cruising along before he was struck by the comebacker,allowing one run and six hits in five-plus innings. It was his second straightwin since coming off the disabled list with a right big toe ailment.
