Mets place OF Bay on DL with concussion

NEW YORK (AP)—The Mets have put outfielder Jason Bay(notes) on the 15-day disabledlist with a concussion.
Friday’s move was made retroactive to July 26, the day after the end of aseries at Dodger Stadium in which Bay was injured.
Bay got hurt Friday night when he crashed into the bullpen gate whilecatching Jamey Carroll’s(notes) drive. Bay then played Saturday and Sunday, going 2 for9 with four strikeouts.
New York said Bay had been bothered by headaches. To fill his roster spot,the Mets recalled outfielder Jesus Feliciano(notes) from Triple-A Buffalo of theInternational League.
