A-Rod to interview with feds soon
TAMPA, Fla. (AP)—Alex Rodriguez(notes) says his lawyers are setting up aninterview with federal authorities as part of an investigation into a Canadiandoctor who is the focus of a cross-border drug smuggling case involving humangrowth hormone.

The Yankee slugger would like the interview to be in Tampa so his springtraining will not be disrupted, although the site is under discussion. He saidWednesday from the team’s training complex that he expects to soon know the dateof the interview.
Rodriguez said Monday he was aware that federal agents wanted to talk to himabout his relationship with Dr. Anthony Galea. Galea told The Associated Pressthat he helped Rodriguez recover from a hip injury last year but prescribed onlyanti-inflammatories, not HGH.
